I was so, SO privileged to be invited to be a part of this wedding. The bride is a childhood friend of mine who I haven’t seen since I was six and living in Colorado with my family. It was a surreal series of events that had me flying into Denver in the middle of my quiet season. Facebook can be an amazing community to be a part of sometimes!
It was a beautiful summers day in Fort Collins where the wedding was held. A summers day that was definitely a bit of a shock to MY system having just climbed on a plane in Perth in the dead of winter! It’s so beautiful and green in the US in the summer compared to Australia. I have serious envy of their spectacular landscapes. I could shoot a wedding there on the side of just about any road and be greeted with waist height wildflowers and towering Mountains.
Steph and Greg decided on a first look session so we met before the ceremony for their bridal portraits. I LOVE it when a bridal couple chooses this option. It always makes for a relaxed day. We had a LOT of fun running around the CSU Hughes Stadium. Go Rams!
Steph and Greg – thank you so much for having me. It was amazing and surreal and a once in a lifetime wedding to attend. Shelly & Steve thank you for welcoming us like family and looking after us like royalty. I’ll come back any time you can find me another Colorado wedding to shoot!
Here is your sneak peek. I hope you love them. The love and sense of family in this wedding just shone through all day. XOXOX
